UN DAY AT SCHOOL

The school celebrated UN Day on 22nd October. Student delegates representing different countries highlighted their concerns on combating climate change and the many interlinked environmental challenges of the century. The UNEP recommendations to overcome current hurdles were emphasized at the function.
The principal, in his speech, urged the students to realize their role in abusing the environment and stop blaming the umpteen agencies for their inability to safeguard the earth and its resources. He entreated them to contribute individually to protect the environment and insisted on the use of biodegradable materials in place of plastic.
