EESS become Culinary Champions

Our school grabbed the overall championship trophy in the Inter School Cookery Competition 2009 held on 15 October 2009. Girls from participating schools displayed their culinary skills through their hands-on preparation of mouth watering dishes.
‘Chocolate Swirl Cheese Cake’ prepared by Maude Rego (EESS) won 1st prize in the dessert category and ‘Shahi Potato Kabab’ by Rukhsar Akbar (EESS) was declared first in the savoury category.
The Chief Guest, Mr. K.N.N. Pillai, Director, Indian Excellent School, Sharjah and prominent judges from the hospitality industry relished the variety of dishes and remarked that it was a great challenge judging them.
Eleven schools from the UAE participated in the competition. In the savoury category, 2nd place was taken by Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah and the 3rd place was shared by Sharjah Indian School, Sharjah and The Indian High School, Dubai.
In the dessert category Our Own Indian School, Dubai came 2nd and The Indian High School, Dubai bagged 3rd place.
