
E.E.S.S., DUBAI hosted its 17th Inter School Qira’t Competition on 20 October 2011. The judges were from Markaz-ud-Da’wa-wal Irshad
and Jamiatul Nisa Women’s Association, Dubai. 47 students from 7 schools from the different emirates participated in the competition.
The following were the winners:
In the Sub-Junior Girls category, Ruqaiyya Mustafa from Leaders Private School, Sharjah bagged the first place.
The second place was taken by Marifa Noor Hallare from Emirates English Speaking School Dubai, Areesha Fatimah
from The Central School Dubai, Sumayya Abdul Aslam from The Indian High School Dubai,
M.F Zainaba from Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah and Aamina Mohammed Arif from Our Own English High School, Sharjah.
In the Junior Girls category, the first place was bagged by Sumayyah Shafiullah from Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai.
There was a tie in the Second position between Aysha Shoeib khan of Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah and Zahra Zafar of The Central School, Dubai.
In the Senior Girls category, Amira ahmed Jawhr of Gulf Asian School, Sharjah won the first place.
There was a tie in the second position between Rizvia Rahman from The Central School, Dubai
and Huda Muhammed Ataullah from Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai.
In the Open category for girls, Nehla Jabeen Abdul Rasheed from The Indian High School, Dubai won the
first place. The second place was taken by Saadia Hafiz Ishadulhaq from Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah. The third place
was taken by Tayyeba Hashmi from Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai.
In the Sub Junior category for boys, Umar Abdullah from Our Own High School, Al Warqaa won the first place.
There was a tie for the second place between Bilal Abdul Aziz of Gulf asian English School, Sharjah and Mosaab Mir Kamal
of New Indian Model School, Sharjah.
In the Junior category for boys, the first position was taken by Mohammed Shakeeb Abdul kareem of Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah. There was a tie for the second place between Mohammad Siyaan Siraj of Our Own High School, Al Warqaa and Salmaan -al -farshi of The Central School, Dubai.
In the Senior Boys category, Mohammad Zakaria of the Central School, Dubai won the first place. The second place was taken by Abdullah Asif of Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah. The third place was taken by Syed Husam of Our Own High School, Al Warqaa.
In the Open Boys category Hamza Zia ur Rahman of New Indian Model School, Sharjah walked away with the first prize. The second place was taken by Bilal Ahmed Al Hashmi of E.E.S.S., Dubai and there was a tie for third position betweeb Mohammed Yaseen of The Central School, Dubai and Bilal Shabandri of Our Own High School, Al Warqaa.
